Hello, I'm glad you're here!
My name is Dyrk Hamilton and I've whirled around on Earth for fifty-nine aMAZEzing years, both literally and figuratively. I've traveled many passages, turned a lot of corners, and bruised my fists against some dead-end walls. What I've learned is that we're all on a priceless journey and the treasure lies in our Soul!
Raised in Christian Appalachia and being "different," I know what it means to survive. Beyond survival, and after many painful mistakes, I know what it is to live a meaningful life with integrity, faith, courage, and purpose. I now work with others wandering life's labyrinth seeking a better way through.
The first time I was introduced to Plato's Allegory of the Cave, I was in my late 30's sitting in a college philosophy course. A late academic bloomer and first-generation college student, I related to the cave and people chained there in profound ways. I've since learned that no one can set another person free. We can only attain freedom for ourselves and assist others along the way.
Are you struggling with too much sadness, anger, or fear? Do you come from a lineage or culture of shame? Are you feeling disconnected from your Soul? If so, let me help. Through coaching, dreamwork, and self-attunement, you'll discover a whole new way to be okay. Better yet, you'll find that life is not a cave, maze, or labyrinth at all. It's a tunnel to a whole new side!

Prior to my current work, I served honorably in the US Air Force and built an early career in supply management. At forty, I shifted my professional path into human services. I've worked professionally as a social worker, addiction recovery support specialist, and executive life coach. I've also worked with medical schools to develop and implement successful training programs for LGBTQIA+ patient care. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Graduate Certificate in Executive and Professional Coaching.
Despite good health, friendly disposition, and worldly accomplishments, I remained highly susceptible to codependency, self-abandonment, and shame-based rage for most of my adult life. This was partly due to my transgender identity. Largely, however, these dark legacies passed to me through generations of well-intended but misguided belief systems, and fear-based conditioning.
Living in near solitude for more than ten years, I immersed myself in spiritual teachings, neuroscientific research, shamanic dreamwork, and deeper engagement with my Soul. This brought me through the darkest days of my life, including near suicidal despair. I emerged from my cave with newfound resilience and greater Love for myself and others.
I still face daily challenges and the difficulties of this world, especially at this time in history. Freedom doesn't mean free from; it means free to. We're all free to choose Inner Light when the outer world threatens darkness. This, my friend, is the Freedom I can help you find within yourself.
Beyond credentials and personal enlightenment, what qualifies me most in this work is my deep desire to cultivate Love and reduce suffering in our shared world.
